i really like the photos of the dead trees because it shows the different types of photos the photographer took because it shows the times of the day when they took the photos and the different climates of the day like they took pictures in the summer and winter

1. what i learn about the photos was how the photo changes and looks base of the day and the time of the climate.

2. the way i can use this in class is by to use some ideas the use to take my photos by coming to the same location but different times of the day.

3. this did expand my knowledge but they don't have a program.

1. i like the photo of the church  because i liked the way the photographer took their photos of different churches and different places in the building.
2.  what i learn was how they pick the topic of taking photos of a church i really like how the photos came out.

3. the way i can use this in class is by taking some photos of a church and compare them to the photos they took to see what i did wrong or what i did right.
4. this expand my knowledge of taking photos that look kind of the same as the photo of the church.
2. the video shows how two photographer took a photos of a building and put them all together to create a video of the building going around in a circle.
3. what i saw in the video was a building going around in a circle.
4.
5. the way the photos look was made by them pointing dots around places to get the photos to look like this.

Early Magazine Covers

- most early magazines did not have the covers we think as covers. many dedicated to opening pages to a title or a table of contents as many early magazine had this like one the town and country magazine or the universal repository of knowledge. many early magazines were model to look like book covers providing only a title and publication data and there was no descriptive word indicating what would be found in the magazine,

the covers of the American magazine of useful and entertaining knowledge from 1835 shows a formal  book like cover with a small illustration that appears to have a decorative purpose rather than the illustration the contents. the table of contents cover and the book like cover co-existed through the 1700s and 1800s.

mother magazine from 1844 is an example of a third kind of cover

The editors’ description of the cover: "Official word of Steve Jobs' death reached Bloomberg Business week as the staff of over 40 was finishing a regular issue. They scrapped it and spent all night finalizing this special issue. In choosing a cover, editor Josh Tyrannize said, ‘what we wanted to find was something that you hadn't seen before, something original, and yet something that had a little bit of tension in it.’ Tyrannize concludes, ‘I think what we found and the way we cropped it really gets at the complicated, sometimes abrasive genius behind all the products that the world admires.’"

Magazine tips

no matter what you put on the cover, keep the six functions of covers in mind

1. Familiar recognition from issue to issue (that’s the brand)

2. Emotionally irresistible (that’s the image’s appeal)

3. Arousing curiosity (that’s to pull the casual glance in)

4. Intellectually stimulating, interesting (that’s to promise benefits)

5. Efficient, fast, easy to scan (that’s showing off the service)
